I now have a lot of time on my hands due to the Coronavirus lockdown. It seems like it might go on for a few months for people of my age group.
I have found a series of 33 videos entitled 30 Days of Photoshop by Aaron Nace of PHLEARN.
I have been using Photoshop for a couple of years to make blended and composite images but have never learned the basics of the programme.
I have spent the last three weeks going through these videos and have the opportunity to build firmer foundations for my creative efforts.
I hope that this will give me more tools to help me deliver my creative visions.

Very much like you Chris, I am in an age group where medics see me to be more susceptible to infection than if I was ten years younger. That said and putting modesty to one side I do feel ten years younger than what I am, accepting that I may not look it. Hope you can understand that without me going into too much detail. I too have been spending more time than usual on the computer sinking deeper into Photoshop and thoroughly enjoying it, more than I thought I would. Lightroom was the application that I thought was the bee’s knees, but now with all this time on my hands I find myself editing in Photoshop more than Lightroom. Over the years I have only used photoshop for ‘phototrickery’. Not only does Photoshop have incredible power but I have since found the accuracy and gentleness of it. Thank you for recommending the 30 day course with Aaron Nace. Excellent series, simple to follow and understand.
ReplyDeleteI love your phrase "Phototrickery".Glad you are enjoying Photshopping.
